Que was born Quenton Devon Scrutchins in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974. It was apparent early on that he was meant to be an entertainer. In fact, many people thought he was going to be a comedian because he was always able to make them laugh. However, in the sixth grade his path became clear—he discovered a passion for rap.
Encouraged by his best friend Tray Huggin who wrote Que’s first rap, he began spending a lot of time writing and perfecting his skills. By the time he reached high school, Que had a style of his own. However, perfecting his style came at a price. Que began spending so much time in the studio that he dropped out of school in the 11th grade. With more free time on his hands Que began getting into more trouble than he ever anticipated. This led to drinking, smoking and more trouble.
At the age of 17 Que went to jail for assault with a deadly weapon. One arrest led to another and I went to prison for a year. In prison was where Que got his life together. He realized that jail was not the place for him and when he was paroled he made a promise to himself that he would follow his heart.
Que realized it was time to reach all the goals he had dreamed of in his younger days. So here he is today trying to reach his goals and the younger generation through rap.
